Enjoy Kendo at UNC
We have been an official student org on the UNC campus since 2005. Our practices are open to UNC student, faculty, staff, as well as community members.
We are a member of Triangle Kendo & Iaido and register with the Federation under them.

-The Rams Head practice is attended by TKI members as well.
Wednesday, Fetzer Gym, multi-activity room 15, 7:00-8:15 PM
- The Fetzer Gym practice is short and primarily oriented to the UNC students
Our Fall practices have begun. Come check us out, anytime is a great time to start kendo but in Fall many beginners start, so it's a good time to start with others. We welcome all UNC students, faculty, staff as well as community members. There is no fee to begin. Contact our student representative Hrishikesh or our instructor, Mike Watson for more info.
About Us
The Carolina Kendo Club is a member dojo of Triangle Kendo & Iaido (TKI). The kendo club at UNC has been an official student club on campus since the 2005 academic year. The instructor/sensei is Mike Watson, 4 Dan and he has been the instructor for the club since 2006. The head sensei for TKI is James Kim sensei, 6 Dan renshi and members of the other TKI dojo in Raleigh often come to our Sunday practices.
